David Pye's Photography Legacy

I picked up my interest in photography from my father - David Pye. In his photography, composition and form, he picked up from his cousin - a paint artist. David was taking black and whites before I was born and made a permanent record of our family's growth and adventures for 56 years. His opportunities to capture the world grew when he became the international abrasives manager for a multinational company based in Minnesota. He took his camera on all his trips and was busy capturing the scenes and people that represented a stark contrast to his own lifestyle.
